FAQ
See the below Frequently Asked Questions to clarify some questions that you may have. Please reach out with any questions that you may have.
We don’t just chase symptoms, we help you understand them and find the root cause. Most PT clinics will give you a list of exercises, send you home, and hope for the best. At Mindful Motion, we slow things down. We start by listening to your story, digging into the “why” behind your pain, and creating a plan that works for your life.
Our secret sauce? We blend the science of physical therapy with the art of mindfulness. That means you’ll learn how your nervous system works, how your body responds to stress, and how to calm it down so you can move freely again. You’ll leave with tools you can use anywhere — in the gym, at your desk, even in the middle of a busy day — to keep making progress long after you’ve finished your sessions.
It’s rehab that’s equal parts movement, education, and mindset — designed to help you not only get better, but stay better.

Mindful Motion Physical Therapy prides itself as being a jack of all trades. We want to utilize all treatment options which are at the disposal of physical therapists to ensure we leave no stone unturned. Find below a list of the various treatments we utilize to get you to where you need to go and please reach out if you are interested in specific treatments which are not listed.
Exercise: we will gauge your current abilities and progressively increase the workload to ensure increase in strength, mobility, agility, and anything else which is required of you for your daily and recreational life
Manual Therapy: guided by years of hands on treatment to patients, manual therapy will be provided as needed to ensure optimal joint motion and soft tissue mobility.. Treatment options include joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization, cupping, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization
Dry Needling: utilizing a thin filiform needle that aims to restore function, improve muscle function, and reduce pain, dry needling may be a part of your treatment program to speed your rehab along. The utilization of this technique allows your physical therapist to target specific tissues which are not responding to typical exercises or manual therapy techniques.
Mindfulness and Acceptance Skills: If you and your therapist find this to be part of your plan of care, time may be taken in your sessions to discuss various themes of mindfulness and acceptance to improve stress reduction, habit formation, presence in daily life, relationship to your pain, and other things which can be discussed at the time of your evaluation.
Custom Home Exercise Programs: At initial evaluation you will be provided an initial Home Exercise Program (HEP.) This HEP will be the first step to developing the skills to progressively return to the movement goals you have. It will be adjusted at each treatment session to ensure it is still appropriate for where you are in your treatment program.
